LIVE

While The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Chevy Chase, a new community by Bozzuto and the Chevy Chase Land Company, won’t open until later this year at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Manor Road, potential homeowners can now review the sales gallery for the 65 luxury condos. The project also will include 100,000 square feet of retail and grocery space. The residences feature private outdoor terraces; sustainable features inspired by the local habitat, including a green roof and indigenous plants; and the amenities that come with a stay at The Ritz-Carlton. CHILL

The Kimpton Banneker Hotel opens this month, and we’re already smitten with the property’s rooftop bar, Lady Bird. With exceptional views of the city (including the White House), the lounge flaunts cozy fire pits, movable glass walls, low-slung lounge chairs, DJs and a mural by local artist Meg Biram that graces the centerpiece U-shaped bar. Contemporary French fare highlights an adventurous menu at the hotel’s bistro, Le Sel. 1315 16th St. NW, 855.546.7866, thebanneker.com

DINE

Summit the Rooftop recently reopened at the Conrad Washington, DC, adjacent to CityCenterDC. Executive chef Josh Murray helms the kitchen (complete with an eco-friendly solar oven) and dishes early favorites like Chesapeake hard clams with chipotle bourbon butter and toast, Maryland crab salad and house pork barbecue. An impressive beverage menu includes new cocktails like the Vantage Point crafted with Green Hat Gin (Ivy City), and the Modernist, made with Belmont Farm Scotch whisky (Culpeper, Va.). 950 New York Ave. NW, 202.844.5900, conradhotels.com

REST EASY

Cady’s Alley in Georgetown will soon welcome Avocado Green Mattress, a brand that practices what it calls a farm-to-bedroom approach to producing exceptional products. The mattresses, handcrafted in Los Angeles, are organic and Greenguard Gold-certified (for low emissions), and they’ve achieved a Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX for human and ecological safety. Avocado also is the world’s first mattress brand to achieve net-negative carbon emissions across its entire business. 3336 M St. NW, avocadogreenmattress.com

STAY WELL

Liv by Advantia Health, the first coordinated care women’s health clinic in the DC area, recently opened in the U Street corridor. Instead of siloing primary care, mental wellness or OB-GYN at different offices, Liv reimagines women’s healthcare under one (sleek) roof. Members can take advantage of telehealth appointments, online scheduling, complimentary same-day prescription delivery, and 24/7 access to lactation and perinatal support through Advantia Health’s Pacify app. 1443 U St. NW, 202.481.2050, liv.advantiahealth.com

CONNECT

After a year of social distancing, we might need to make new and interesting connections around town. Happied, a new platform for food and drink experiences, guides groups through virtual meetups with a social host. A kit—including everything from a charcuterie board to cocktails—is delivered to a participant’s front door. happied.co
