Sound the style sirens—Valentino dropped its debut cosmetics collection full of showstopping color and game-changing formula innovations.
“Beauty is directly connected to the intensity of our feelings; the more we love, the more we are connected to our true self, the more it shows and glows on the outside,” says Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli of the brand’s debut cosmetics launch. “Valentino Beauty is for the dreamers.”
Piccioli’s vision offers the first makeup collection for the house, which pays homage to its couture heritage with highly refined formulas and bold hues. Eye shadows encourage self-expression with a multilayered palette and a variety of shades, textures and bases to mix and match—while the Very Valentino foundation is built to last in a selection of 40 shades. Using Light Lasting technology, the semimatte finish boasts the secret superpower of a “magic floating powder”—a very light yet very powerful powder that can absorb up to three times its own weight, resulting in an all-day perfect finish. V-Lighter (available in five shades) offers a hyaluronic acid-infused highlighter that can be worn under, over or without foundation to illuminate the skin.
The entire offering is wrapped in Valentino Rosso, naturally, making it just the thing to paint the town red this season.
