Big Adventures
I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of family-friendly activities for my four-year-old twins to enjoy. On our first day at the resort, my family hopped onto the beautiful carousel for a spin or two allowing the kids to pick their favorite horse to sit on as we twirled around in the early evening. It was a hit with our twins who kept on asking for ‘just one more ride’. We treated our little ones to Nemacolin’s whimsical PJ’s Ice Cream Parlor for some fresh jukebox treats before playing retro arcade games like skee-ball and Pacman at the Kids Club Arcade. Safe to say, my husband and I really tapped into our inner child that evening by indulging in our sweet tooth and playing games that gave us a sense of nostalgia.
The most unexpected adventure of the trip was our family safari tour in the van as we encountered wildlife in their habitat. The twins were in awe of seeing lions and more large animals up close and personal. There was no shortage of kid-friendly experiences at Nemacolin and my husband and I were just as delighted to enjoy these adventures alongside our little ones.
Impeccable Service
The service at each of Nemacolin’s restaurants was top of the line, especially when it came to entertaining the kids at the dinner table. With crayons readily available for doodling and the staff’s gracious dining accommodations for the little ones, they felt included and a part of our every meal.
Evening s’mores beside The Lodge fire pit was an unforgettable summer experience as we toasted our marshmallows with packets courtesy of the hotel for our little ones to savor a gooey dessert before our nightcap.
Home Away from Home
Bedtime in The Chateau Double Junior Suite was a highlight of our family trip to Nemacolin. From kid sized slippers and cookies by the nightstand to comfortable beds and turn down service, it was evident the hotel staff placed a high value on ensuring our kids had a great time and felt welcomed too. Bundling up in our cozy room while watching Disney movies on a rainy day made our experience at the hotel feel like a fun sleepover.
