White, blue and tan come together for an overall beachy vibe.
Design shop Serena & Lily, which is known for its breezy California furniture and home accessories, recently opened its first mid-Atlantic storefront. It’s the brand’s 13th location—and luckily you can find it at Bethesda Row. “The Washington, DC, market is already very strong for us, and finding a physical space that allowed us to blur the lines between indoor and outdoor living and really highlight our designs was very important,” says CEO Lori Greeley. Step into the expertly designed retail space (there’s 3,000 square feet of it) for a wide assortment of pillows, dining chairs, luxury bedding and more. There’s even a lush outdoor patio, where walking through a set of French doors leads you to an abundance of outdoor furniture designed to inspire your own space. Original to the DC location is a huge gallery wall reserved for local artists—think Wendy Doak, Lanie Mann, Erica Nordberg and Sarah Trundle— where you can purchase their works to hang in your own home. serenaandlily.com
