Rachael Glaws, founder of RGI events.
Rachael Glaws, the visionary founder of RGI events, stepped onto the DC event production stage in 2008 with a singular mission: to craft strategy-driven experiences that leave a lasting impact. Building on her prior experience producing events for the music and film industries in Los Angles, Rachael seamlessly fuses meticulous logistics with inspired design, ensuring every event unfolds with precision, creativity, and singular flair…and the proof is in the pudding.
RGI events goes above and beyond, where every detail counts.
Her leadership has propelled RGI events to dizzying heights, earning a coveted spot among the Top 10 Strategic Event Resources in the United States, a nod as one of the country’s Top 10 Event Planners, a client list which boasts the most powerful brands in the world, and an armload of additional awards and recognitions.
Through Rachael’s commitment to innovation, RGI is redefining the art of event production both in their hometown and beyond. At the heart of RGI’s identity is its Washington, D.C., home…and although you can find RGI bringing their clients visions to life coast to coast and around the world, DC is never far from mind. Rachael and her team know that the District is a city and setting that demands a unique blend of adaptability and nuance with an insider’s edge—and RGI delivers that to their discerning clients in spades.

“D.C. is a city unlike any other—a place where business, philanthropy, and political society don’t just overlap but are deeply intertwined,”says Glaws. “Planning an event here requires a heightened level of awareness, balance, and cultural sensibility. You truly have to ‘speak the language’ to navigate its unique complexities.
The attention to detail in every RGI events party is always impeccable.
“Seventeen years ago, I set out to build a firm where deep strategy and stunning design could intersect to create unforgettable experiences—while amplifying DC’s reputation as a premier destination for special events and a hub for cutting-edge event innovation,” says Rachael Glaws. “Today, as a nationwide firm with a footprint in hospitality through our event spaces and boutique accommodations properties across the country, we proudly carry the spirit of Washington, DC, with us wherever we go. This city’s unique energy and character inspire everything we do—because, truly, there’s no place like home.”
Glaws seamlessly blends professional expertise with personal passions and considers her day-to-day life an extension of the event work she so dearly loves …even after a quarter century in the industry. “This job isn’t what you do”, she offers, “this job is who you are.”
Her popular ‘Atelier Unplugged’ video series captures this intersection of personal taste and professional expertise in the RGI atelier, at her properties on Cape Cod and New Hampshire, and in RGI’s event venues and boutique hotel properties around the country (find it on Instagram @rgievents).
In her rare downtime, you can find Rachael spending time with her three children, two dogs, two horses (she’s an avid equestrian) and giving back to her community as an active patron and fundraiser for George Washington’s Mount Vernon. Through innovation and a commitment to excellence, Rachael Glaws and RGI Events continue to enhance the field of event production, consistently striving for impactful and memorable experiences. rgievents.com
