Founder
The founder of ProMD Health, George Gavrila, MD, strives to improve patients’ confidence, appearance and mental health through his cosmetic dermatology services.
“As the son of an immigrant mother fleeing communism for a better life, I saw firsthand how important the freedom of self-expression is,” Dr. Gavrila says. “My mother’s commitment to the free and open expression of health and beauty became indoctrinated within me. She herself was the daughter of a renowned cardiologist who passed on the importance of integrity, gratefulness and taking care of others, which she instilled in me.”
Dr. Gavrila and his team offer patients multiple services to “Look Younger and Feel Younger,” including facial rejuvenation, hormone optimization therapy, aesthetic laser treatments and specific treatments for men.
“ The intersection between patient care, artistic expression and medicine captured my interest and continues to excite me to this day,” he says.
ProMD is slated to open three new offices this year, and Dr. Gavrila is also developing succession plans for all employees, as well as an online training curriculum to educate existing and future providers on how to be first in class.
Outside of the office, Dr. Gavrila can be found fostering the philanthropic arm of his practice, ProMD Helps, which donates to numerous charities and offers pro-bono services to those in need.
“Philanthropy and community involvement is a huge part of ProMD, my ethos and why I started ProMD Helps,” Dr. Gavrila says. “Large or small, human or animal, we look to improve our community as best we can.”

We design spaces that give clients an atmospheric environment they can genuinely enjoy, whether it be the feeling of being at a theater as they are dining out or the personal flair of a home as they entertain. We create a stage for these experiences to happen.”
Looking ahead, Chenault is focused on three unique projects slated to be completed over the next year and a half, as well as growing his brand with a new studio location.

Heidi Ellenberger Jones
ModernJones, LLC CEO
In October 2018, Heidi Ellenberger Jones launched one of the most successful woman-owned brokerages in the DC region. An entrepreneur at heart, she has always enjoyed the feeling of starting something of her own volition.
“My greatest achievement thus far has to be starting my own real estate brokerage,” Jones says. “In a sea of male-owned brokerages, we are one of the few female, independently owned real estate companies. I saw an opportunity to do real estate differently and I seized it.”
For Jones and her team, truly caring about people is at the heart of what they do and they focus more on clients’ goals and needs than on transactions alone.
“I am eager to help and consider myself to be a lifelong learner,” Jones says. “I genuinely care about my clients and want what is best for them, not just another deal. I see how real estate can change people’s lives and I am proud to be a part of that transformation.”
Jones is an active suppor ter of Sibley Hospital, Arlington Free Clinic, St. John’s High School, Women’s History Museum, N Street Village, Northern Virginia Alliance League and other local community organizations. In addition, she also gives back by mentoring interns from a local high school.
“I am hopeful that by being a female CEO and founder, I can inspire other women to become leaders in their prospective field,” she says. “If we support and lift each other up within our community, we all can succeed.”

Boudoir photography highlights and embraces the intimate, natural beauty of one’s self. It empowers vulnerability, liberates limitations and loves all bodies. Sarah Marcella, the photographer behind Sarah Marcella Creative: The Boudie Bus, says boudoir goes beyond the photograph.
“It’s healing,” she says. “It’s spiritual. It’s life changing. The Boudie Bus offers pay-what-you- can adventure boudoir experiences because every woman deserves to feel beautiful, no matter their income. This style of photography has always been known as a more elite or premium type of service with prices that are not affordable to all. For me, the sessions are more about the entire experience rather than just the images.”
Focused on making boudoir available to all women, Marcella’s power lies in the fact that she is able to help clients feel amazing in their own skin.
With the help of her two rescue pitbulls, Rosie and Junior, Marcella drives her 30- foot school bus across the nation, living on the road fearlessly to make her business dreams come true. In the months ahead, she will travel to cities all over the U.S., including Denver, Salt Lake City, Portland and more, to empower women through her liberating photography.
“Boudoir can help you fall in love with yourself on a deeper level,” she says. “The reaction of my clients to their photos when they finally realize how incredibly beautiful they are with no makeup or fancy lighting is the best part of my job.
