Come to be inspired and mingle with leaders in philanthropy, business and government at DC Action for Children’s annual benefit luncheon. DC Action is a nonprofit advocacy organization working to ensure that all children in the nation’s capital have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Programs include D.C. KIDS COUNT, which tracks data on child and youth well-being, as well as the Birth to Eight Quality Initiative, focusing on quality, affordable early care and education for all children. Our work focuses on issues in health, education, safety and family economic success to build a brighter future for children and our city. This year’s luncheon honors the visionary women leaders who founded DC Action for Children in 1992: Diane Bernstein, Marion Guggenheim, Cynthia McGrath, Elizabeth Siegel and Susan Zox-Smith.
The program will feature a keynote address by NBC News4 Morning Anchor Eun Yang. Sponsors include the Freddie Mac Foundation, PNC, Carefirst and Buchanan and Company LLP.
