FRAICHE
Watch chef and cookbook author Matt Price (@mrmakeithappen) and get daily education on the art of boldness in the kitchen. His 1.1 million Instagram fans now get to see him in person at Fraiche on 14th Street in Columbia Heights. With a name that means “fresh” in French, the restaurant promises to deliver an inventive take on culinary fusion, drawing inspiration from French, Cajun, South American and Caribbean flavors. Price built a devoted audience by putting creative spins on classic dishes.
The kitchen blends tradition with modernity, creating a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere. Housed in a historic building that once served as a theater, the restaurant preserves elements of its past while embracing a contemporary design aesthetic. This spring, an outdoor dining area will extend the experience onto the bustling streets of Columbia Heights. Brunch lovers can also look forward to a lively weekend scene featuring a live DJ, adding to DC’s thriving brunch culture.
“I’m excited to open the doors to Fraiche and share our passion with this incredible community,” says Price. “Fraiche is more than just a restaurant—it’s a celebration of local ingredients, innovative flavors and the joy of gathering around the table.” 3345 14th St. NW, @fraiche_dc
