With a passion for empowering others through beauty and spa services, Nordine Elabassi is a talented entrepreneur known for his compassion.
What are your specialties in your industry?
NE: We are a full-service salon and spa that offers multiple services for hair, nails and skin. From hair coloring and cutting to massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, make-up and Hammam services, we do it all.
What is your favorite part of your job?
NE: Two things. First part is seeing a smile on our clients face after the service we provided them with. The second part is the best part of my job is building meaningful long-term relationships with my clients. Additionally, I love meeting other business owners and entrepreneurs to learn how they conduct business.
What differentiates your business strategy in the industry?
NE: I’m committed to hiring the most skilled employees who are passionate about this industry and want to continue to learn and grow as professionals. We provide excellent customer service and work to build longlasting relationships with our clients. We’re Power Players in our community, working to help new businesses and support local initiatives.
Is there a mentor who has influenced your career?
NE: My father has been an immense influence on my career, inspiring me to dream big, persevere and achieve my goals.
What are the positive ways you use your power in your community?
NE: We collaborate with our clients to support an array of local charities. What’s important to our clients becomes important to us. We’re also dedicated to guiding the next generation of salon professionals.
What is the most valuable life lesson you’ve learned in your career?
NE: Failure is not an option. Coming to the U.S. as a student at the age of 21 and being unable to speak English, looking back at all the accomplishments and the opportunities I’ve created for myself and others, is an amazing feeling. With perseverance, dedication and passion, anything can be accomplished.
Outside of work, what do you love about living in the DMV?
NE: I love living in this area because it gives me the opportunity to meet different people from all walks of life. The diversity of cultures in Northern Virginia is very special.
