Mark Twain Prize for American Humor

Named to honor one of America's--and the world's--greatest humorists, the Kennedy Center presents the award annually at a star-studded evening to pay tribute to the humor and accomplishments of the honoree. This year's honoree will be Carol Burnett, an award-winning actress and best-selling author, she is most widely known for her work on stage and screen, most notably The Carol Burnett Show.
