Homemade desserts can seem daunting, but we all know they're the best kind to serve for family and friends—especially when you can pair your creation with vanilla ice cream.
Lucky for you, Chef Andrea Anthony, owner of Lobster Roll aka Lunch in The Hamptons, has a delectable apple crumb pie recipe that will have your guests clamoring for seconds. She actually came up with this time-tested recipe for her Food Network show Eat, Bake and Drink with Andrea.
“This Apple Crisp is a great dessert to share with friends and family for Labor Day and is also a great kick-start into the holiday season,” Anthony says. “Make sure to serve warm with a generous scoop of your preferred ice cream. Pro tip: if topping starts to burn in the oven, place a loose sheet of tin foil to prevent it from burning.”

The best part of this recipe is that you don’t need to go through the trouble of making an entire pie crust. It's all about the tart apple and layers of crumble. Plus, there's a bit of caramel drizzle to seal the deal.
This dessert is sure to please everyone in your family, from younger children to grandparents. Check out Anthony's full recipe below.
