BURN FAT WITH COOLSCULPTING®
Most people are bothered by stubborn areas of fat that will just not go away, no matter how much they diet and exercise. Fortunately, improvements in technology have made it a reality to achieve non-surgical fat reduction through a ground-breaking procedure: Coolsculpting®. Coolsculpting® safely and effectively freezes fat to improve the contour of unsightly bulges of the body around the thighs, abdomen, flanks, and bra rolls, and chin.
The Coolsculpting® Treatment involves a comfortable procedure performed in the office without any medications. The affected areas are marked with a marking template and then a cool gel sheet is applied to protect the skin. A suction cup device is applied to the problem area on top of the gel sheet, suctioning the skin and fat in, and gently freezing the fat. The crystallization of the fat leads to permanent clearance of these fat cells and other byproducts through the lymphatic system and liver. This permanent reduction in fat cells leads to a significant reduction in size of the bulge. More dramatic improvement can be achieved with 2 sessions that are 1-2 months apart. Results are seen at around 3 months after the initial procedure.

BUILD MUSCLE WITH EMSCULPT™
The Bitar Institute is the first plastic surgery practice in the greater Washington, DC area to offer EMSculpt™. EMSculpt™ is the first machine in the world that can build muscle and reduce fat to the abdomen, buttock, and arm areas with no surgery or downtime. It is also the first device of its kind that has been clinically proven to build muscle and improve diastasis recti (the separation of muscles in the abdomen, typically seen in pregnant women).
The EMSculpt™ procedure targets problem areas by using high intensity focused magnetic energy (HIFEM) to stimulate the muscle contractions, building muscle and reducing some unwanted fat in the process. This stimulation is said to mimic the effect of 20,000 squats/sit-ups in each 30-minute session. The treatment requires 4 sessions, spaced a few days apart.
