The Plaza New York may have Eloise, but the Fairmont Washington, DC, Georgetown has its own special guest—a four-legged one, that is. Georgie, a nearly 9-month-old Labrador, was adopted by the luxe hotel from Guiding Eyes for the Blind. (She was initially training to be a service animal, but her tail-wagging friendliness took her in a different direction.) She befriends hotel guests and keeps them company at their home away from home—she’ll even accompany them on a walk. Here, her “pawsome” spots around town. Rooms $199-$599, suites $299-$15,000, 2401 M St. NW, fairmont.com/washington
Walk of Fame CityCenterDC’s alfresco boutique-lined paths make it her favorite place to stretch her legs—and shop for new goods from the likes of Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Moncler to keep this pooch looking pretty. 825 10th St. NW, citycenterdc.com
Rare Pearl Living up to the prestige of her name (after George Washington and Georgetown), Georgie loves donning a string of pearls from one of her many admirers.
Lounge Act When she’s not greeting guests with stuffed animals bearing her visage or tagging along on afternoon jaunts, she’s found stretched out in the lobby or loggia. If you’ve popped in for a light lunch or afternoon tea ($40), you’ll certainly see her tail wagging in welcome.
Mad for Plaid Georgie’s go-to apparel is her classic tartan dog coat. GM Mark Huntley, who takes her home every night, is British. Perhaps she’ll soon trade that coat for a collar for the spring. $79, Barbour, 3221 M St. NW, barbour.com
Head of Estate While dogs aren’t allowed inside George Washington’s Mount Vernon, Georgie was invited to the grounds as a special guest and may be strutting her stuff in the summer. Tickets $20, individual memberships from $69, 3200 Mount Vernon Highway, Mount Vernon, Va., mountvernon.org
