STAY

When a new property showcases a gorgeous portrait of the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg—along with 60 other immersive artworks of leaders who’ve fought for civil and human rights—the stage is set for an unmatched stay. The 191-room Hotel Zena opens on 14th Street, with standout attractions like Figleaf, a stylish bar and restaurant, which features cocktails honoring women icons and new American cuisine. SWEAT

Natalie Strahorn recently launched Old Town Alexandria’s MVMNT Society as a way to rethink what a barre studio can be. She created new foundational classes, including many online, and says she’s offering “a method that’s constantly changing to keep clients evolving mentally and physically. I like to think of it as similar to Tracy Anderson but less complicated choreography and more approachable.” 1701 Duke St., Ste. 160, Alexandria, 571.317.7005, themvmntsociety.com

SEE

The National Museum of Women in the Arts is open for visitors, and the museum’s November unveil is Reclamation: Recipes, Remedies and Rituals, an evolving exhibit and ingredient archive that focuses on food as a creative medium for visual art—all set around the kitchen table. Nine female artists will activate their own culinary tables and share photos, videos and stories. Nov. 15-Jan. 3, 1250 New York Ave. NW, 202.783.5000, nmwa.org
