“I like to think of myself as a sponge, always trying to soak up as much knowledge and understanding as possible, and DC is a great city to do that,” says DC United superstar goalkeeper Bill Hamid, who grew up in Annandale and attended DeMatha High School before stardom hit a decade ago. Hamid adores the international vibe of the city and dons fashion-forward looks from Amiri and Off-White when frequenting his favorite hangouts like Sotto, located below Ghibellina, and La Vie. “Trends are always changing, so I keep up, but I always put my twist and my style on outfits because I aspire to be unique. This is a city with culture, swagger, style and grace. I stand proud to welcome the world here.”
