As a first-generation Indian American woman, I grew up keenly aware of the cultural importance of gorgeous hair. I’ve always been a girly girl who loves fashion, makeup and beauty, but I particularly love seeing women embrace their femininity. When a woman feels beautiful, she feels more confident and empowered across all facets of life. Watching my friends scour endlessly for top-quality extensions and wigs, I found an opportunity to market natural hair that’s luxurious.
What values fuel the SnoBee Chic brand?
In the early stages of developing my brand (snobeechic.com), I traveled to India to search for vendors that share my belief in social consciousness and a fierce commitment to quality. I collaborated with the most ethical suppliers to create SnoBee Chic’s premium cruelty-free wigs, extensions and other essential products to ensure a morally sound everyday glam. The goal of this brand is for women to feel like the most beautiful version of themselves—to amplify their intrinsic sexiness.
What tips do you have for women seeking at-home glam?
When it comes to at-home beauty, I’m a firm believer in simplicity. Don’t try to overdo any one thing—whether it’s your hair or your makeup. Pick one feature, such as your eyes, for example, and highlight that area using mascara and eyeliner. The goal is to enhance, not mask, your natural beauty. Most importantly, don’t be intimidated by trying something new! Have fun and be willing to embrace change.
Which SnoBee Chic products would you recommend to someone seeking to feel confident during lockdown?
Our signature line of clip-ins are my favorite SnoBee Chic items. They’re versatile and provide customers with the flexibility to subtly enhance their look. We offer a variety of textures, lengths and colors to suit a diverse range of women. My second favorite product is our lashes. They’re a flirty, feminine and reusable way to add some dazzle to your lockdown look.
What should people avoid when it comes to maintaining their glam at home?
The most important thing is to not lose sight of self-care. Taking care of your hair, skin, nails and more is vital, even if you’re not hitting the town. It’s key to integrate a consistent beauty ritual in your routine. Also, make it a point to get glammed up occasionally, even if it’s just for yourself.
