Chloe
Chef-driven and internationally inspired, Chloe showcases chef Haidar Karoum’s extensive gastronomy profile. The menu ranges from traditional pate and a hummus bolstered by spiced beef to roasted Vietnamese chicken with chile-lime dipping sauce and whole fish flanked by salsa verde.
Any Day Now
Opened last year, this dual coffee shop and cocktail bar offers a delightful fusion of American and international cuisines. Chefs Tim Ma and Matt Sperber curated the hot spot’s tasty bites, including fried oysters, honey walnut calamari and pepperoni fried rice. Don’t miss happy hour, where specialty cocktails are $10.
Trouble Bird
A newcomer on the scene, this neighborhood cocktail bar features an array of late-night bites by Andrew Hurn and Justin Cara-Donna. The specialty-crafted sips, the majority of which are breakfast-for-dinner themed, are unique and quirky, including four refreshing concoctions designed to celebrate cherry blossom season.
The Cove
Lounge the day away at The Cove, a 4,000-square-foot seasonal tropical oasis reopening this spring. Enjoy cozy cabanas, picture-perfect nooks by the water, plenty of outdoor seating, games, an island bar and a snack hut.
Duke’s Grocery Navy Yard
Duke’s Grocery is a British-style gastropub just one block from Nationals Park. Nosh on hearty meals like the wagyu beef burger with two American wagyu beef patties, cheddar cheese, Duke’s bacon jam and garlic aioli between two brioche buns. This marks the brand’s fourth DC location and boasts its most extensive bar.
Takoda Navy Yard
Located across from Nationals Park, Takoda is a buzzy restaurant and beer garden with cocktails on draft, bottomless brunches and delicious cuisine. The 7,000-square-foot space boasts three floors, including a rooftop bar overlooking the city and its stunning sunsets.
Mission Navy Yard
This Mexican sports bar is perfect for gathering and sharing a sheet pan topped mile-high with crispy nachos. Whether celebrating a Nationals win or drowning your sorrows after a loss, Mission’s electric environs and classic Latin fare ensure top-notch nightlife.
Albi
Arabic for “my heart,” chef-owner Michael Rafidi’s Albi is a love letter to his hometown of Ramallah, Palestine. The resto is centered around an inviting hearth, and its menu is sure to stun. Start with the pita and Beiruiti hummus, then enjoy a sfeeha (meat pie) made with duck and Turkish manti dumplings with an urfa chile crunch.
Shilling Canning Company
The resto and raw bar feature a wood-burning oven churning out a la carte dishes and three- and seven-course tasting menus such as Chesapeake rockfish, beef tartare and more.
The Salt Line
Situated near Nats Park, the eatery provides traditional New England-inspired dishes complemented by a spacious open-air patio with scenic waterfront vistas and an outdoor bar and lounge area with abundant seating—perfect for large groups. Bonus: It’s dog-friendly, which is another reason to bring your best friend for Pups in Park nights.
