The new AJ Madison showroom in Tysons offers a range of exceptional appliance brands, including Cafe, which can be customized to match kitchen design.
Appliances have become the new statement pieces in homes, and for good reason: They’re sleek, smart and have become the functional equivalent of furniture. AJ Madison, the Brooklyn-based retailer that carries 150 brands, has capitalized on this notion by giving homeowners countless options to marry form and function.
Amy Chernoff, the vice president of marketing for the retailer, says opening a showroom in booming Tysons was a natural. Not only are locals looking to buy appliances for their kitchens, she notes, but also nearly every room of the house. “That’s been the evolution of high-end appliances,” she says. Chernoff says the other two changes are customization—color palettes and finishes to match room designs—and smart appliances that sync with our phones. Customers who visit the showroom will see brands like Cafe (cafeappliances.com) and Dacor (dacor.com), but also luxe showpieces that can’t be found anywhere else in the area, including BlueStar (bluestarcooking.com), Monogram (monogram.com) and Bertazzoni (us.bertazzoni.com). 8500 Leesburg Pike, Tysons, Va., 202.892.5000, ajmadison.com
