THE PARTY The Watergate Hotel was filled with love on Sunday, February 24th at our wedding showcase, An Afternoon of Wedding Luxury. THE PEOPLE The day began with a VIP Q&A with celebrity event planner Lynn Easton, owner of Easton Events and Creative Director for Easton Porter Group and our very own Editor-in-Chief, Kristen Schott. BEST IN SHOW Watergate's newly renovated ballroom was where the magic happened. Many mingled while noshing (use different word) on hors d'oeuvres courtesy of the Watergate Hotel and sipped on cocktails topped with gourmet cotton candy by Fluffness. Before entering the ballroom, guests could experience a tarot card reading, sign up for a complimentary Glamsquad appointment and check out the Kendra Scott pop up in the bridal suite, take home a personalized card from Painted Palettes or snap a photo in front of the greenery designed by Atelier Ashley Flowers. There was even more to see and try inside the ballroom. Music from Andy Kushner Entertainment filled the room while guests tried American Wagyu Beef Short Rib, Lobster Thermador and Young Asparagus at the savory station and delicious treats such as white truffle lollipops and champagne gummy bears at the dessert station. Guests gathered invitation inspiration with Type A Invitations or received a live illustration from LS Art Illustration. But once the clock struck 4 pm, it was time for the bride and groom to cut the beautiful cake from Fleur & Flour. This was followed by models from the Artist Agency strutting out in Zoya Atelier’s elegant wedding dresses. And then, like every great wedding, this one ended with a bouquet toss and catching this was definitely good luck - the winner received a weekend for two at the Hamilton Hotel’s sister property in Isla Bella. The afternoon wrapped up and each guest received a gift bag with goodies from many of our partners and a crowd favorite, mini wedding cakes from the Watergate Hotel! - Carly Roesen
