THE PARTY Guests enjoyed a full-sensory experience of luxury on the serene outdoor patio of the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown on Wednesday, May 8th. The party, hosted by DC Magazine and McEnearney Associates, truly delighted all the senses with its lovely displays of sight, sound, touch, taste and smell. Event Revolution set the scene by helping stage the festivities. The patio was adorned with beautiful bouquets of hydrangeas, white roses, gardenias and touches of greenery, crafted by Atelier Ashley Flowers. The air was filled with the melodies of Trance Se Bon presented by Élan Artists, played live on the strings of a violin. While waiting to be treated to relaxing shoulder massages from the masseuses at Spa Logic, guests snacked on candied parsnips topped with pink and yellow flowers created by Chef Johnny Spero of Reverie. Guests also enjoyed Cuban pork sliders served by Chef Mario Monte of Colada Shop and dishes of paella served by Chef Danny Lledo of Slate Wine Bar.
THE PEOPLE The party was attended by DC Magazine and McEnearney Associates guests alike. DC Magazine’s Associate Publisher Jessica Powers toasted the crowd with wishes of a fantastic evening. Among the guests from McEnearney Associates were Deniz Artemel, VP of Professional Development, Jeanne Choi, VP of Marketing and Communications and Andy Hill, Managing Broker. The guests enjoyed mingling with colleagues and friends; everyone was seen with beaming smiles on their faces.
BEST IN SHOW To complement the tasty dishes, guests sipped on Edelheiss Sparkling White Wine, Peroni Beer and a selection of rosé, white and red wines from Great Frogs Winery. The signature drink of the evening: ‘Stroll in the Southside,’ a refreshing cocktail crafted with district-made Ivy City Gin, strawberry mint syrup, lime and soda by One Eight Distilling. And, to round out all the senses, guests were delighted by the scents of Jo Malone candles, as notes of Lime Basil, Mandarin, English Pear and Freesia floated through the atmosphere.
