The Party TCR with Greystar and DC Magazine hosted the grand opening of their newest luxury development, The Batley. The evening celebrated the best North East DC has to offer and was carefully curated to showcase Union Market’s newest luxury apartment building. Guests were greeted by MJ Valet at the door and started off the night with a Batley inspired Cotton & Reed specialty cocktail. Selfies were snapped in front of a grand hedge wall created by DNicole Setting, which featured a trendy #curatedatthebatley logo designed by Artisan Matchmaker and beautiful florals by Melissa’s Creations. Guests were then guided to the second and third floors to check out the savvy tech lounge, impressive fitness studio and two model apartments.
The People In attendance were Crow Holding’s mid-Atlantic Managing Director Robbie Brooks and Mid-Atlantic Vice President, Trey Kirby. Vice President - Asset Manager, Deborah Gaffney was among a few other TCR team members who made the trip to DC from Atlanta to celebrate the grand opening. DC magazine’s Associate Publisher, Jessica Powers, gave a few remarks as the night continued.
Best In Show After experiencing a glimpse of what the luxury building has to offer, guests then proceeded to the penthouse floor featuring a variety of the best food vendors from the Union Market district. O-ku greeted guests on the penthouse floor with an engaging sushi rolling station. Stellina Pizzeria presented delectable arancini rice balls and Caprese salads while Shouk served savory falafel shawarma bowls. Guests also tasted pure chocolate bliss with a bon bon flight courtesy of Harper Macaw. Hors d’oeuvres were passed and an extravagant aloha table was crafted by Occasions catering as the crowd sipped on City Winery wines, 3 Stars Brewing beer while also getting a taste of Maximo Mezcal at the tasting bar. When a break was needed from all the delicious food, Extraordinary Entertainment had their Array Photomoment for guests to take live, in-action shots that could be directly uploaded and shared. As the party moved outdoors to the rooftop, Violetta Markelou DJ’d her curated playlist to create a fun vibe all throughout the night. The delicious food did not end there, Peruvian Brothers served their savory empanadas while Bidwell grilled up their signature sliders. The party never wanted to end, and in cases like these a refreshening is always needed. Luckily, Ian McCabe Studio stocked the restrooms with the best products.
