Summer Tuesdays are here for the season thanks to The Oval Room. That’s because the restaurant has introduced its new Test Kitchen Tuesday menu. Created by executive chef Bryan Moscatello and available from 5:30PM till close, the three-course, prix fixe lineup rotates weekly and lets diners experience the unexpected on their plates, with creative techniques and ingredients aplenty. His inspiration, he says, is “whimsy, fun, youth and discovery.” Indeed, guests will sample everything from the rabbit liver pâté—complete with truffle, apple, brandy and brioche, and available July 31—to the crostada di ricotta, all amid the establishment’s 12-seat lounge or luxe landscaped patio. So take our advice and join the adventure by booking a table today—it’s a tasty trip you won’t want to miss. $45 per person (excluding tax and gratuity), 800 Connecticut Ave. NW, 202.463.8700
